Ebbw Vale Welfare Bowls Club ground is situated at the North end of Eugene Cross Park (The home of Ebbw Vale RFC) off New Church Road.

From the Heads of The Valleys (A465), take the turning for Ebbw Vale (A4046). Take the second exit at the next roundabout, passing Tesco on your right.

At the traffic lights (pedestrian crossing), take the left turn (be careful here, the road forks in two - take the ‘second left’ road putting Daniel's on your left, you will pass ‘Sidoli’s ice cream!). Carry on to the next roundabout and turn left.

As the road bends right, turn left on to New Church Road. After about ¼ mile, look for a turning left.

A Google map of the area can be found here.
Ebbw Vale Welfare Bowls Club was founded in 1907. Bowling took place at the Drill ground Ebbw Vale.  In the early 1930's they moved to the Welfare Ground which was renamed Eugene Cross Park.

In 2007 we celebrated our Centenary year and held some very special and important games.  The club has a ladies team who play in two leagues, one on a Tuesday and the other on a Thursday. The men also play in two leagues on a Saturday and a league on a Wednesday.

Whilst the club has never had a very big membership, we have produced three internationals between 1957 and 1971.

The club would welcome new players of any age, any experience, male or female especially younger players, so if schools or anyone is interested in trying out the game of bowls, it doesn't matter if you have not played before, please contact the Secretary - Jeff Short on 07870 839653. We can supply all the equipment and coaches to help you out if required.

In 2010 the official opening of our new pavilion, which is being shared with R.T.B. Bowls Club, took place.
